PPGI  Steel Sheet Description

PPGI is GI steel sheets coated with a colored paint layer.
Characteristics: PPGI steel sheets offer not only the corrosion resistance of galvanized steel but also a vibrant and customizable appearance. They are widely used in construction, manufacturing, and decorative applications.
Uses: Roofing, wall panels, door frames, appliance housings, etc.

The full form of PPGI is pre-painted galvanized iron. It is a kind of color coated steel or pre-painted steel, which is an extension of GI. As the name implies, it uses zinc-coated steel as substrate, and then it is cleaned, pre-treated, and applied with layers of coatings to make it more beautiful and durable to use. We adopt the coil coating process to make PPGI coils. With slitting, shearing, and roller equipment, we also have strips, plain and corrugated sheets for sale.

Coating Type

In the coil coating, the durability of the role is the resin and pigment, the most commonly used finish polyester, silicon modified polyester, high durability polyester and polyvinylidene fluoride.

Good adhesion, rich color, wide range in formability and outdoor durability, medium chemical resistance, low cost.
Silicon Modified Polyester SMP
The hardness, abrasion resistance and heat resistance of the coating film are good; as well as good external durability and powder resistance, gloss retention, general flexibility and medium cost.
High Durability Polyester HDP
Excellent color retention and UV resistance, excellent outdoor durability and chalking resistance, good film adhesion, rich color, excellent cost performance.
Polyvinylidene Fluoride PVDF
Excellent color retention and UV resistance, excellent outdoor durability and chalking resistance, excellent solvent resistance, good formability, dirt resistance, limited color, and high cost.
